Name: Craig Cooper:
Born in Campbelltown, Tasmania. The small Island State of Australia,
situated 50 minutes flighing time due south of Melbourne.
1960 - 1973
Raised in a small town on the east coast of Tasmania called Bicheno :
Population 900
1972 - 1975
Attended High School at Brooks High, Launceston, which is the 2nd Largest
City of Tasmania. The States Capital is Hobart ( Pop 200,000+) which is
situated in the South of the Island while Launceston (pop 86,000) is the Hub
of the North of the Island.
1975 - 1980
Held a variety of jobs including Underground Labourer in tin mine,
Freezerhand at an Icecream factory and bar attendant at a nightclub called
the 'Turntable'
1980 - 1990
Employed by the 'Four Seasons' Group Tasmania's largest hotel/motel chain in
a variety of roles including middle Management
1990 - 1995
Moved to Cairns, Nth, Queensland, worked in the Hospitality Industry. Began
working part-time for the newspapers and tour companies as a Photographic
Journalist.

1995 - now
Returned to Tasmania, Studied Fine Art (Photography Major) at the Tasmanian
University acredited with a (BFA with Honours) During Honours year (1999)
was one of only 2 Australian Artists invited to exhibit at the Biennale
Internazionale Dell' Arte Contemporanea (Florence, Italy) received the 5th
place medal for exhibited artwork. Also participated in solo exhibition it
Istanbul, Turkey in Nov 1999.
For the past 4 years I have been working on developing my own style of
photography printed on canvas via inkjet.
